Christmas Bridal Tea at Ava Laurénne Bride

"The magic of the Christmas season lies in its ability to bring hearts together, weaving love, connection, and joy into every moment. It’s a time when the world slows down just enough for us to truly cherish the people, traditions, and memories that make this time of year so extraordinary." - Wendy Rivera, Owner, Ava Laurénne Bride

On December 8, we transformed our stunning Virginia boutique into a cozy winter wonderland for our annual Christmas Tea! We welcomed brides and their guests to indulge in the magic of the season with festive outfits, warm tea, and an atmosphere full of charm and holiday nostalgia. It was an unforgettable celebration of elegance and holiday cheer!

Embracing the Tradition

Ava Laurénne Bride’s 2024 Christmas Tea was a celebration brimming with nostalgia and inspired by the charm of a beloved Chicago tradition. Picture this: the iconic Walnut Room, nestled in the heart of Chicago’s theater district, where guests have gathered since 1907 to dine in style and soak up the magic of Christmas. With its elegant tables encircling a magnificent Christmas tree, it became a treasured holiday tradition for families who loved to dress up and revel in the season’s sparkle.

Fast forward to today, and the Walnut Room, now part of Macy’s, still holds its place as one of Chicago’s most enchanting dining spots. Ava Laurénne Bride brought this timeless magic to life in our 2024 Christmas Tea, recreating the charm with tables beautifully arranged around a stunning Christmas tree. It was a moment filled with joy, elegance, and holiday spirit—a tradition we hope will warm hearts for years to come!

Capturing the Nostalgia

Décor by Mercer transformed Ava Laurénne’s space into a magical experience and transported brides to a Christmas wonderland.  Wendy Mercer created this event to reflect her memories of visiting the Walnut Room with her mother and grandmother. Wendy is a master of incorporating special details and nostalgic elements into her décor. Wendy always hides a wooden rocking horse in her Christmas décor because it is reminiscent of magical childhood memories.

Making New Connections

Ava Laurénne Bride’s Christmas Tea was the perfect opportunity for brides to connect with each other and make new friends. Stylists also loved visiting with some of their past brides and getting to meet new people. “We love our small intimate events because it’s fun seeing our past brides and watch brides make connections with new people!” – Abi Russell, Ava Laurénne Bride Stylist

Creating Lifelong Memories

Ava Ava Laurénne’s Christmas Tea gave brides special access to the shop and opportunities to take photos in its beautiful space. Guests enjoyed taking photos in front of the vault door, near the beautiful Christmas tree, and in the photo booth.

Experience the Magical Décor

Christmas at Ava Ava Laurénne Bride is a magical experience that transports brides to a luxurious wonderland. Décor by Mercer coordinated the tablescape with the tree and added red bows, velvet, and fresh greenery. Fresh sprigs of green on each place setting and velvet bows on each goblet added a special element for each guest.
