Over the past seven to years, this enchanting experience has grown from a simple idea into a lavish and iconic part of our boutique identity. What began as a small, seasonal refresh has now snowballed into a beloved annual event that brides and their families look forward to experiencing!
It all started when Ava Laurénne Bride enlisted the help of Wendy Mercer with Gatherings By Mercer to lend her creative eye to enhance the boutique's seasonal displays! In those early years, the shop, then located on Caroline Street, was adorned in traditional Christmas themes, with red and gold hues dominating the decor. The response from the community was overwhelming—passersby would press their noses to the window, enchanted by the boutique’s beautiful displays!
But when Ava Laurénne Bride moved to its current location on Princess Anne Street, with its higher ceilings and larger space, the holiday decorations were taken to a whole new level! Each year, the boutique transforms into a luxurious Christmas spectacle with intricate details, massive trees, and sparkling garlands that stretch across the balcony, creating a magical atmosphere that takes everyone's breath away.
One thing that makes Ava Laurenne Bride's Christmas decor so special is the commitment to creating something new each year. While the boutique stays true our brand's classic and extravagant aesthetic, no two holiday seasons have ever looked the same. Wendy Mercer, who leads the charge in designing the holiday look, explains that each year has its own theme, color story, or unique design elements. From a Nutcracker-themed Christmas to a nostalgic winter wonderland, the team ensures that the decorations are fresh, exciting, and always a little over the top!!
